About This Role:

As a System Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for the system-level design of advanced implantable medical device systems. Your key tasks will include developing system requirements, designing system architecture, guiding implementation through hardware/firmware/software development, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You'll utilize your expertise in systems engineering principles and technologies to drive innovation and excellence in our products.


Your Responsibilities Will Include:

οƒ˜ Applying critical thinking skills to solve systems interaction problems.

οƒ˜ Utilizing architecture design tools to develop and document system-level interactions.

οƒ˜ Creating comprehensive design documentation within our quality system.

οƒ˜ Collaborating with internal regulatory teams to meet external regulatory requirements.

οƒ˜ Documenting your work using version control, defect tracking, and peer review tools.


Required Qualifications:

οƒ˜ Bachelor's (5+ years experience) or Master's (3+ years experience) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.

οƒ˜ Understanding and experience in designing, developing, and testing embedded systems and/or active implantable medical devices.

οƒ˜ Ability to interpret and develop system requirements and specifications.

οƒ˜ Experience with electronic bench test equipment.

οƒ˜ Proficiency in Python, C/C++, Java, or Assembly.


Preferred Qualifications:

οƒ˜ 3+ years experience in systems, software, or electrical hardware engineering.

οƒ˜ Familiarity with regulations and standards relevant to medical devices.

οƒ˜ Experience with requirements management/PLM tools.

οƒ˜ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

οƒ˜ Ability to build relationships across the organization and with external stakeholders.

οƒ˜ Practical knowledge of project management concepts and exposure to Agile methodologies.
